Thank you to all of you who participated in our One Question Survey.  The Survey is now closed.  You can see a write up of the results here.

iPad Drawing

Thank you for everyone who participated in all of the activities associated with our iPad drawing.  Here is how were are going to award the iPads:

We have created a list of all email addresses from the following sources:

  1. Registrations for the RetroDex events
  2. One Question Surveys
  3. Suggestions on our About Page
  4. Participants in the Escape from Las Vegas game (cut off time is noon 11/16)

Participants who did more than one of the above things, or who won more than one chance in the game, will have their email address entered onto the list more than once.

We will use a random number generator to assign a random number to each entry on the list

We then sort the list from the lowest random number to the highest

Today (11/16) at 1 PM an email will be sent to these top 20 names asking for a response within 24 hours – an iPad will be awarded to the two respondents to that email that are ranked highest on the list. 

At the RetroDex events tonight, at the appointed time on the agenda, the MC will call off the email addresses starting at the top of the list until someone present at each site wins.   A person can only win one iPad, so if you win at the event, you will be excluded from the email awards.

Our One Question Survey

Just One Question can be all that it takes to really get the conversation started. We will be calling 10,000 IT Pros on the phone during the week of October 18th with the intent of collecting 500 or more answers and you can participate on this page.

Our one question has 2 parts:

What one technology product or service impacted your business most in 2010? 

What do you think it will be in 2011?

Prizes!

We will be awarding 4 iPads at our RetroDex Events on November 16th, 2010.  We will select the lucky winners randomly from all of the people that submit entries, and all of those that make predictions (see the rules). 

Rules

Here are some of the rules:  

  1. One per Person: We will only accept one submission per email address.  Any additional submissions for the same email address will be discarded (it is only the first one that counts).
  2. Valid Email: All submissions from email addresses that bounce will be excluded from the drawing -- after all, how are we going to tell you that you won if we can't send you an email.  So make sure to enter your email address accurately.  We will not require you to verify your email address, but we will send an email after you complete the form -- and if it bounces your submission will be discarded.
  3. Must Respond to Email on 11/15/2010:  You do not need to be at our event to win.  But you will need to respond to our email announcing the winners on November 15th.  If you do not respond within 24 hours, we will award your prize to someone else.
  4. Survey or Prediction: You must be an IT decision maker to contribute to the survey, but you do not have to be an IT decision maker to participate.  If you leave the number of desktops managed field blank, we will conclude that you do not make IT purchasing decisions for your company.  Your submission will then be considered your best prediction of what the IT decision makers will pick.
  5. No Self Promotion:  We think it is great that you like your own products.  However we are working to collect unbiased feedback from IT decision makers and promoting your own product is hardly unbiased.  So if you nominate a product or service that your company makes, sells or delivers, your entry will be discarded.
